Aqua Aire Septic Air Pump Replacement Guide: HIBLOW & FujiMAC Compatibility
Choosing the correct replacement air pump for an Aqua Aire aerobic septic system is important. Installing an aerator with the wrong airflow or operating pressure can reduce treatment performance and may cause premature pump failure.
Aqua Aire systems manufactured by Ecological Tanks, Inc. range from 500 GPD residential units to larger 1,500 GPD systems. Although system capacity is helpful, the Aqua Aire model number should be used when choosing a replacement aerator.

AA500 Aqua Aire Systems
The AA500 family uses the 80-liter-per-minute class aerator. Common models include AA500, AA500T, AA500-32, AA500-35, AA500-3432, AA500-3530, AA500-3575, AA500-4050 and AA500-4075.
The HIBLOW HP-80 is the standard replacement, while the FujiMAC 80R2 (80RII) is an alternative.
AA600 Aqua Aire Systems
For the AA600 family, use the HIBLOW HP-100LL or FujiMAC 100R2 (100RII).
Because Aqua Aire has produced multiple tank configurations under the AA600 family, always verify the complete model number before ordering.
AA750 and AA800 Aqua Aire Systems
The AA750 and AA800 families use the 120-LPM-class aerator. Older systems may have been equipped with a HIBLOW HP-120. The modern HIBLOW replacement is the HP-120LL.
The FujiMAC 120R2 (120RII) is the corresponding FujiMAC option.
Common models include AA750, AA750T, AA750-4290, AA750T-50, AA800, AA800-65, AA800-0110 and AA840-4290.
AA1000 Aqua Aire Systems
The standard AA1000 treatment system uses the 150-LPM-class aerator.
Recommended replacements are the HIBLOW HP-150 and FujiMAC 150R2 (150RII).
AA1200 and AA1500 Aqua Aire Systems
Aqua Aire's larger AA1200 and AA1500 systems use the 200-LPM-class aerator.
Recommended replacements are the HIBLOW HP-200 and FujiMAC 200R2 (200RII).
Replacement pumps should not be selected based only on the system's GPD rating. The Aqua Aire model number and required airflow should always be considered.
Aqua Aire NR Models Are Different
If your Aqua Aire model contains “NR” in the model number, do not select an air pump using the standard chart above.
Examples include AA500-35NR, AA600-4NR, AA750-5NR, AA800-5NR, AA1000-75NR, AA1200-75NR and AA1500-10NR.
NR treatment systems may use different aerator configurations—including multiple air pumps on certain systems—so the exact model should be verified before ordering.
How to Find Your Aqua Aire Model Number
Before ordering, locate the manufacturer's identification or data plate on your Aqua Aire system or control equipment. Look for a model beginning with AA, such as:
AA500-4075, AA600-4075, AA750-4290, AA800-00110 or AA1200-00160.
Using the complete model number is the safest way to identify the correct replacement air pump.
